International Museum Day 2017 at the Plečnik House
For the International Museum Day, celebrated globally by museums on 18 May, the Plečnik House is opening its' doors with an all day free entry. Read further to find out what is in store for you on this day, and how to guarantee a spot for a visit to Plečnik's authentically preserved home.
On the International Museum Day, the permanent exhibition Plečnik, dedicated to the architect's life and work, as well as the temporary exhibition Plečnik and Prague Castle: Apartment for the First President of Czechoslovakia are on display in Plečnik House, and they will both have free entry from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On this day we are also organising a number of guided tours of Plečnik's unique home. The 20-minute tours will be held from 10 a.m. to 5.40 p.m., and will have a limit of 7 persons per tour. Reservations are mandatory and will be taken only on 16 and 17 May, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 01 24 506 or at prijava@mgml.si.
