Open doors day on the Slovenian Cultural Holiday
Spend Wednesday 8 February at the Plečnik House and visit the permanent exhibition Plečnik, dedicated to the architect’s life and work. Do not miss the temporary exhibition Plečnik on Brioni, and the unique and authentically preserved Plečnik’s home. Reserve a spot on one of the guided tours of the house on prijava@mgml.si. The museum opens at 10.00 am and closes at 9.00 pm.
Plečnik House is offering the following for the Slovenian Cultural Holiday:
10 a.m.–9 p.m. Guided tours of Plečnik's home – ALL SPOTS ALREADY TAKEN!
Guided tours last 15 minutes, 7 persons per group. Reservations are mandatory and will be taken on Monday and Tuesday, 6 and 7 February, from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm at prijava@mgml.si.
10 a.m.–9 p.m. Plečnik on Brioni, temporary exhibition
Exhibition of the hitherto never exhibited photographs of the architect during his visit of the Brioni isles in 1956, when his last finished project, a garden pavilion, was being constructed. The exhibition is a collaboration with the Manuscript, Rare and Old Prints Collection of the National and University Library, which acquired the valuable donation of Dr. Lojze Gostiša.
12 a.m. Guided tour of the Plečnik on Brioni exhibition with authors Marijan Rupert and Žiga Cerkvenik, NUK; the guided tour has a limit of 20 persons - ALL SPOTS ALREADY TAKEN!
10 a.m.–9 p.m. Plečnik, permanent exhibition dedicated to the works and life of architect Jože Plečnik.
