Little City
The Little Museum project is now in its third consecutive year. During this full school year, the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana is collaborating with ten- to twelve-year-old students from the Valentin Vodnik Primary School.
Participants in the project research how museum exhibitions are created, which are the museum professions, and are learning about the Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik and his masterpieces around Ljubljana. At the start of December, we published a competition to which we invited students in nursery and primary schools, and families. From the received artworks have now made "the coolest” small exhibition at the Plečnik House – Little City. The children themselves prepared the exhibition of building models inspired by Plečnik, with a bit of help from museum experts. Participants in the project also prepared a playful stroll into the past – a guided tour of the Plečnik House, given by the students in character.
