Plečnik House becomes a UNICEF Safe Point
In early November 2025, Plečnik House joined the network of UNICEF Safe Points – places where children and young people are always welcome, listened to, and safe.
By joining the network of safe points, Plečnik House is strengthening its role as a place of openness, trust, and accessibility for all generations of visitors. Safe Points are public places such as museums, libraries, shops, or municipalities where children and young people can seek help and support in times of distress or uncertainty.
Upon receiving the title of UNICEF Safe Point, the employees of Plečnik House were trained in how to provide basic assistance and will be able to listen to anyone who turns to them, calm them down, and, if necessary, refer them to the appropriate services. Plečnik House thus joins more than 1,000 safe points across Slovenia and the joint efforts to create a safer and more compassionate environment for children and young people.
In addition to Plečnik House, UNICEF Safe Points within the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana also became the City Museum of Ljubljana, the Jakopič Gallery, and the City Art Gallery Ljubljana in November 2025, while the Cukrarna Gallery has been part of the network since last year.
