Unique works of art by Iñaki Bonillas available at the Plečnik House
We are pleased to announce that you can take home a piece of the exhibition Hiša Plečnik House × Iñaki Bonillas: ARS MEMORIAE! The Plečnik House shop is selling a selection of unique works of art by Mexican artist Iñaki Bonillas, created during the process of preparing the exhibition.
A unique trio of test prints: First Dream – Morning, Afternoon, Night
A special, hand-made trio of test stereoscopic prints is available, linked to the First Dream series, which Bonillas designed after being inspired by the poem Primero sueño by the Mexican Baroque poet Juana Inés de la Cruz.
These preliminary prints reveal the process of creating the final artwork: black-and-white photography, layers of intensely colored aniline dye, and their combination. The selected images refer to classical architecture and subtly echo the creative explorations of Jože Plečnik.
Gramophone record A Small Coat of Words
A limited edition of gramophone records is also available for purchase, featuring the author's audio recording – a personal reflection on his experience of Plečnik House.
The audio work A Small Coat of Words, named after Srečko Kosovel's poem, echoes every day in Plečnik's bedroom and study, where it is played on a top-of-the-line Slovenian gramophone by master craftsman Peter Mezek – such a master who would be particularly valued by Plečnik.
Visit Plečnik House and take home a piece of Bonillas' unique artistic interpretation of Plečnik's legacy.
