The public conversation, which will be moderated by Alenka Gregorič, curator and art director of the City Art Gallery of Ljubljana and the CC Tobačna 001, and Miha Colner, curator at the MGLC, will present both guest artists, their artistic practice, works that are in progress during their residency, their views of the world, and much more.

Nazgol Ansarinia is researching the systems and networks that ordain her daily life. Born and raised in Tehran, she often deals in her works with the state of everyday objects and events in contemporary Iran. Due to her underlying interest for graphic design and critical theory, her works are always based on research and analysis of everyday life, while she works in various art media.

Vladimi Nikolić finished his graduate and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. For a decade now he has been attracting international attention with his video works in which humour is intertwined with elaborated conceptual layers. His works are self-reflective, as he enjoys examining his practice, motifs, ambitions and the role of the artist in the system within which he operates. Vladimir Nikolić will also be presented at a solo exhibition, which is opening at the CC Tobačna 001, on Thursday 21 September at 9.00 p.m. ***
