AVA 003

8. 7. 2011–20. 7. 2011

Interim Show presents works created by 1st and 2nd year students of Fine  Art and Conceptualisation of Space in the academic year 2010/11. The  works are made in various media, including photography, painting,  sculpture, installation, video and set designs for theatre, TV and film.

Academy of Visual Arts encourages interdisciplinary research and the use  of new media and technologies within a theoretical framework. Study is  based on a critical understanding of art within a broad cultural and  social context.

AVA is an independent, non-profit school that constantly seeks to  improve the quality of its courses through annual assessments that are  conducted by external assessors. Students at AVA are tutored and  supervised by artists and lecturers from various European universities.  AVA holds a unique position in Slovenia in that its courses are based on  the British higher education system. The students and the school have  received several Slovenian and international short film and photography  awards for their works created since 2008.
