RANKO NOVAK The Form of the Content. Graphic Design 1974–2022
The monograph, spanning over 300 pages, offers an insight into Novak’s extensive and impressive work from the early seventies, when he, as a trained architect, was already predominantly engaged in graphic design. It covers his activities within Studio Znak (1980–1994) and at the Design Center of Studio Marketing, up to his collaborations with numerous cultural institutions, scientific organizations, professional societies, and economic organizations. It also includes his work in designing newspapers and various magazines and his collaborations with numerous book publishers. Novak is also among the first designers in our cultural space to systematically approach the design of a comprehensive visual identity as a specific design task.
