Differences
The Differences catalogue accompanies the exhibition of the same name, held from September 19 to November 17, 2024, at the City Gallery Ljubljana. The exhibition showcased the sculptural works of eight renowned contemporary Slovenian sculptors: Tea Curk Sorta, Tejka Pezdirc, Natalija R. Črnčec, Marko A. Kovačič, Zoran Srdić Janežič, Borut Korošec, Kristina Rutar, and Boštjan Perovšek.
The catalogue highlights the diversity of creative approaches and materials characteristic of each artist. The sculptural works featured in the exhibition reveal a broad spectrum of concepts—ranging from traditional to innovative understandings of sculpture, from unified masses to complex spatial installations. The catalogue thus provides an insight into the diverse poetics and generational differences among the artists, whose work significantly contributes to contemporary Slovenian art.
