Žiga Kariž: Painter '73
With his creative practice, Žiga Kariž has since the mid-1990s represented not only one of the central but also one of the most controversial contemporary painters. His way to refurnish the traditional medium with complexity and bring it abreast of the present day may, as art historians typically do, be explained based on influences and reference examples from the past.
