Opening of Keiko Miyazaki's exhibition Love Can't Pay Us Rent

You are warmly invited to the Match Gallery to attend the opening of the Keiko Miyazaki: Love Can't Pay Us Rent exhibition at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 1 April 2025. The Japanese artist, who lives in Celje, uses her personal history to develop a multimedia exhibition which shows the intricate unravelling of the threads of love and intimate relationships under the challenging conditions of contemporary consumerism, which most members of the artist's generation face with existential uncertainty and constant lack of time.

A desperate call to a partner in financial distress: "Love Can’t Pay Us Rent", also the title of the central art piece in the exhibition, well outlines her central theme, further emphasized by the confrontation with the growing trend of ageism, within a society that worships eternal youth and beauty.
