"Ulay is opening the Pandora's box of his intimate archive"
"Ulay has been 'collecting' his works for half a century, he's like a hamster. His archive is enormous, yet he only rarely shows anything from it to the public, which is actually a paradox, as art is created for communicating with the audience. Eighteen months ago he decided to open his Pandora's box. He chose Ljubljana to be his home and after seven years of living in the city, he believes that it is time to give something back to the city.", wrote the Slovenian Press Agency.
Ulay's exhibition "I Other" opened at the City Gallery of Ljubljana. The exhibition will be his major presentation in the region. It features pieces from the artist's personal archive that refer to his public projects, but which themselves are only rarely or never exhibited to the public.
