Under The Free Sun: Arjan Pregl, "Paintings Telling the Right Time Twice a Day" (tutorial)
Under normal circumstances, 16 April 2020 should mark the opening of the exhibition (ironically) titled “Free Sun” at the City Art Gallery Ljubljana. The project was envisaged to present contemporary fine artists. We hope that the exhibition will take place as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, we can use the time, which is now running at a much slower pace than usual, for learning new painting skills and for reflecting on the quality of time spent in isolation … Here are some impressions on isolation from the painter Arjan Pregl, one of the artists that was supposed to present himself at the exhibition. Pregl prepared a tutorial in the style of Bob Ross, who is famous for his “Happy little paintings”, with some concrete instructions on how to produce paintings telling the right time twice a day.
