MGML, proud recipient of two awards for the best art gallery
In the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana we are proud recipients of two awards, awarded by the international guidebook "Ljubljana In Your Pocket City Guide". In the Best Art Gallery category, the City Art Gallery occupied the third place, while the first place was occupied by the Jakopič Gallery.
Every year on 8 February, Slovenia celebrates its National Day of Culture in honour of the great 19th-century poet and cultural iconic France Prešeren. At "Ljubljana In Your Pocket City Guide" each year they mark the event by asking their readers help them select the best of the city's culture. To mark the occasion, they pulled out all the stops and expanded their usual handful of categories to a total of nine, in order to more fully cover the the diverse cultural scene in the capital city.
