Dorit Margreiter Choy
Through these collaborations, they aim to reinvigorate and translate Plečnik's work into the present. Dorit Margreiter Choy's artistic intervention at Plečnik House as a historically marked site, including the architectural structures, the garden, and display elements, deals with the relationship between past and present, between living space and workspace, and the complicated interplay between private and public.
Dorit Margreiter Choy's artistic interest correlates to the intricacies between visual systems, spatial structures, and the consequences that they hold for our everyday social lives and the ways we comprehend them. The artistic intervention of Dorit Margreiter Choy, which includes elements of architecture and representation, explores, in dialogue with the Plečnik House, the relation between the past and the present and the connection between representation and fiction. The exhibition at the Plečnik House is part of the art discussion that follows the artist’s interest in contemporary architecture and its correlating spheres, which represent an artwork as a continuous process and a method of withdrawal.
