The graphic novel Plečnik (full stop) now also delighting in German
Following the Slovene and Czech edition of the graphic novel Plečnik (full stop), this original biography can now also be purchased in German. The German version of the novel was published by the Viennese publishing house Bahoe Books.
“The publication of Plečnik (full stop) in German, just a few weeks after its Czech iteration, is a nice completion of Plečnik’s life and work within this Central European area.”, stated Blaž Vurnik, PhD and Curator of Modern History at the City Museum of Ljubljana, during the German graphic novel’s presentation.
Bahoe Books has made the graphic novel available for purchase on their website, while the book can also be found on Amazon.de. The publication of the graphic novel was also covered by the German regional publica Radio-television NDR.
The biographic graphic novel about the architect Jože Plečnik is already the third comic book project of the now well-established duo of Blaž Vurnik, PhD, and the renowned Slovenian comic book artist Zoran Smiljanić. The graphic novel, first published in November 2021 as an introduction to the Plečnik Year 2022, already had its second reprint in Slovenian, while the English translation is to be published in August 2022.
This visual biography was published in collaboration between the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana and Forum Ljubljana (Stripburger Magazine), and was co-financed by the Slovenian Book Agency.
