Today, Carlo Campanile, the Ambassador of Italy, spent some time at the Plečnik House with his spouse. Accompanied by Blaž Peršin, Director of the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana, and Ana Porok, Curator of the Plečnik Hose, they enjoyed a visit to the residence of our greatest architect as well as the temporary exhibition of the Italian photographer, philosopher, and architect Maurizio Barberis.

During the visit, our guests and hosts reminisced about past cultural ties and projects that connected Italy and Slovenia. Together, they also looked towards the future, with a wish for more collaborations and joint successes.

Their conversation revolved around architecture and art that has been inspired by Plečnik's legacy. They recalled the exhibition Plečnik e il Sacro / Plečnik and the Sacred, which was displayed at the Vatican Museums in 2019. They highlighted the importance of historic houses, which provide us with an intimate insight into the lives of historical figures.

Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Carlo Campanile, expressed his enthusiasm for the diverse programme offered by the Plečnik House. Ha was particularly fond of the programmes aimed at the youth and commended the significant number of visitors who annually explore this cultural landmark.
