Maurizio Barberis Bestowed Two of His Original Photographs to the Plečnik House

A few days ago, Italian photographer Maurizio Barberis, who exhibited his series of original photographs inspired by Plečnik's architecture here in the spring, visited the Plečnik House. During his visit, he delighted us with an exceptional gift: he donated two of his photographs from the exhibited series to the Plečnik House collection. We sincerely thank him for this generous gesture!

Maurizio Barberis has been drawn to the architecture of Jože Plečnik in recent years. More specifically, he has been fascinated by the house designed by Plečnik for his friend and collaborator Matko Prelovšek. In his original style, Barberis captured its ambience through his photographic lens. As noted by Massimo Negri, curator of Maurizio Barberis: A post-modern Stimmung. Jože Plečnik in Ljubljana, the spring exhibition at the Plečnik House, Barberis' photographs serve its audiences as a "filter through which they can interpret interiors created by the master with a modern sensibility. It's a kind of visual film that stimulates imagination and curiosity."

The exhibition was supported by the Italian Cultural Institute of Ljubljana.
