For her Ljubljana exhibition Zvyagintseva combines drawings created by appropriating doodles – the kind one usually makes on a piece of paper when buying a pen – with tiny sculptures whose shapes are parts of various objects and spaces from the immediate surroundings of her residence in Ljubljana.

The central part of the installation of the artist Nikita Kadan consists of two floor-to-ceiling prints on fabric, functioning as curtain room dividers. One features a photograph of the last existing avant-garde monument to the working class from the 1920s and the other a photograph of coal, the most important natural resource of the Donbas region.

You are kindly invited to attend public talk of the artists who are currently part of two 'artists in residency' programmes in Ljubljana. At Švicarija Creative Centre currently resides Marie Lukačeva from Prague, Czech Republic, while Cultural Centre Tobačna 001 hosts artist's tandem Fokus Grupa from Rijeka, Croatia. Public talk will be moderated by Alenka Gregorič (MGML - Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana) and Miha Colner (MGLC - International Centre of Graphic Arts). The guest artists will present their creative practices, showcase the works which are in the making during the residency period, share their world views and much more.
