The exhibition Differences will display sculptural works by contemporary Slovenian academic sculptors, who are diverse both in their artistic poetics and in the use of materials for their artistic expressions, which reflects in their artworks.
The goals of the exhibition are: present the material diversity of contemporary Slovenian sculpture; showcase the variety of concepts and themes that address sculpture as a cohesive mass or as a distinctly spatial installation; highlight the generational differences of the participating artist; the dynamics of the installations will allow close proximity and even touching sculptures. The exhibition thus holds importance on both local and national levels as all selected and established artists, through their works, mark contemporary Slovenian art, representing it in various exhibitions at home and abroad. Simultaneously, they differ in their approach to the treatment and presentation of sculptures. The selected artists are among the leading figures in Slovenian art, especially in sculpture, which they perceive as a dynamic and active installation with interpretative possibilities.
