Live masterclass Photography Empowers with Susan Meiselas
On the occasion of the exhibition of the socially engaged photographer Susan Meiselas: Mediations, at Jakopič Gallery we are running the masterclass Photography Empowers, which has been attended since the end of April by 15 selected photographers who are working on 13 photography projects in collaboration with selected communities. After online meetings and consultations, the participants will meet their mentors, photographer Susan Meiselas and photography experts Lydia Matthews and Luciana Pinchiero, in person in Ljubljana on 17 and 18 June 2023.
During the workshop, the mentors will review the projects produced so far, provide feedback and help with editing the resulting photographs, and advise on the most appropriate presentation format.
The first project from the workshop, signed by photographer Katja Bidovec, was already presented at an event at the Islamic Religious and Cultural Center Ljubljana on 8 June 2023.
