Fragments of Unspoken Thoughts
The "Fragments of Unspoken Thoughts" exhibition tries to juxtapose some historical works with contemporary works which will widely contextualise the issue of so called "romantic" or "warm" conceptualism or it's legacy through the prism of artistic practices from differnet generations and different geo-political conditions.
The intention behind presented works of art is not to lay out the plethora of formal processes used by individual artists or make a direct distinction towards conceptualism with analytical tendencies but position the question about the dematerialisation of the art object, it’s defining of form and media and how can this establish relationship between things that surround us. And just this positioning of “romantic” in the context of conceptualism or to the context of it’s legacy is definitely one of the main thrusts for the realisation of the exhibition entitled Fragments of unspoken thoughts.
The exhibition is connected to the simultaneous exhibition by Bas Jan Ader in Škuc Gallery.
