Ljubljana bows to Slovenia VI
You are warmly invited to attend the opening of the Ljubljana Bows to Slovenia VI: Pomurje exhibition at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 4 October 2022 in the Match Gallery, Ljubljana.
The sixth in a series of exhibitions under the title Ljubljana Bows to Slovenia, which aims to link Ljubljana with current regional artistic initiatives and groups, will present the peculiarities of the Pomurje artistic environment.
The artists from Pomurje are connected by staying informed about each other’s production, but at the same time they are dispersed through private art milieus, workshops, offices and ateliers in both Radgonas, the Goričko region, Murska Sobota, Ljutomer, Lendava, …
People on both banks of Mura are characterised by the historically wind-swept Pannonian Plain, so they enter creative endeavours with a somewhat reserved prudence. Their artworks are therefore multi-layered, profound and intimately expressive.
