The installation at Vžigalica will be the first public presentation of gallery-space installations that have been taking shape over a long period from the artist's reflections, conversations, dreams, and numerous collaborations with other creators. At a time when we are subjected to countless sensory stimuli and left to the rushing flow of information, Tilen Sepič, with the exhibition SNR, invites us to pause — while observing and listening to systems.

SNR, an abbreviation for signal-to-noise ratio, refers in science and engineering to the measurement of the ratio between useful signals and noise, while at the same time also determining the maximum amount of data that can be reliably transmitted through a given communication channel.

Sepič's SNR plays with the relationships between signals from the environment and our perception, with gradients of clarity and noise that arise in this in-between space.

The exhibition is being produced in co-production with Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory (Društvo Ljudmila), with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the City of Ljubljana.
