Artist residency programme: Maruša Meglič to travel to London
Based on a public call for an artist residency at the Tottenham Hale International Studios in London, Maruša Meglič (1989) has been selected for a two-month long residency. She is currently concluding her MA studies in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. Her work revolves around exploring her own identity and intertwines various artistic practices such as painting, drawing, ready-mades, performance art and a contemporary understanding of the object.
Maruša Meglič is also this year’s recipient of the ESSL Art Award CEE . She has been unanimously selected for the residency programme in London by a committee consisting of: Tim Phillips, head of THIStudios and the residency programme, Steve Allbutt, visual artist and secretary of THIStudios, and Marie Roux, artist and assistant in the residency programme of THIStudios.
