ISTER digital milestone - revived Roman heritage
A new acquisition in the basement of the Ljubljana City Museum enriches Roman heritage through the digital world
As part of the ISTER project, we set up a digital milestone in the basement of the Ljubljana City Museum, right next to the original remains of the Roman road, at the end of December. It is an interactive touch screen that allows the user to explore the heritage of Roman roads in depth and learn about the ISTER project.
Through the responsive maps, the user can calculate the travel time he would need from his place of residence to Emona, if he were to use chariots for transportation, as they did during the time of the Roman Empire. The screen also allows you to read articles about Roman history, solve a quiz and many other gamification elements, through which we present this heritage to the reader in an interesting way.
