Cahtleen M. Giustino, Mills Carter Professor of History at Auburn University, USA, is arriving in Ljubljana from Prague. Her lecture at the Plečnik House will be focused on the time of the First Czechoslovak Republic and on Plečnik's role in the efforts for the construction of a national parliament.

Spend Wednesday 8 February at the Plečnik House and visit the permanent exhibition Plečnik, dedicated to the architect’s life and work. Do not miss the temporary exhibition Plečnik on Brioni, and the unique and authentically preserved Plečnik’s home. Reserve a spot on one of the guided tours of the house on prijava@mgml.si. The museum opens at 10.00 am and closes at 9.00 pm.

In 2017, the Plečnik Year, we commemorate two anniversaries that marked the life of the architect Jože Plečnik: the 60th anniversary of his death (7 January 1957) and the 145th anniversary of his birth (23 January 1872). The Plečnik House is beginning the Plečnik Year on 7 January, with an open day for all visitors of the house.
