Also this year, Jakopič Gallery is the recipient of the Best Art Gallery Award
On 13 February the international guidebook Ljubljana In Your Pocket City Guide announced the results of the voting for of Best of Culture in Ljubljana 2019. The voters proclaimed Jakopič Gallery as the winner in the Best Art Gallery category.
Every year on 8 February, Slovenia celebrates its National Day of Culture in honour of the great 19th-century poet and cultural iconic France Prešeren. And each year to mark the occasion, Best of Slovenia asks locals to vote for their favourite museums, galleries, institutions, events and more from Ljubljana's thriving cultural scene. This year there was a total of nine categories: Best Museum, Best Art Gallery, Best Commercial Gallery, Best Annual Cultural Event, Best Performing Arts Space (Traditional), Best Performing Arts Space (Modern), Best (National) Cultural Institution, Best Cultural Attraction Around Ljubljana, Best Cultural Media Coverage.
