The presentation of the artist, who through photography and memory—by sequencing and layering short diagonal lines on the base surface—creates an image of decaying nature, portrays the world within its ecosystem, its degradability and transience, and addresses us on the importance of shared coexistence.

The exhibition From Sketch to Puppet, organised by Bežigrajska galerija 1 in collaboration with Ljubljana Puppet Theatre and a Theatre Glej, presents the works of Silvan Omerzu – creator of drawings, puppets and set designs for puppet shows, and director of the following performances: Stories of Little Charlie by Rotraut Susanne Berner in adaptation of Saša Eržen; Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, The Devil and the Shepherd directed by Jan Zakonjšek and  Little Red Riding Hood of the Grimm brothers.

Presentation of a graphic artist who creates distinctive works of art in various printmaking techniques such as woodcut, linocut and high copper engraving. The artist combines the classical printmaking medium with contemporary means of expression through his unique creative approach. His delicate expressive images, with distinctive curves, textures, shadows and the interplay of the fantasy world with reality, create the appearance of an expressive narrative.

The exhibition entitled From the Collection of W. B.: Protocol (Presence of J. P.) will feature ten paintings from 2023 and a video from 2019. The works on display are linked by a painting concept in which the author perceives time as a painterly competitor.

This year’s exhibition presents a fine selection of sketches, puppets, stage elements and photographs created by Robert Smolík, a Czech scenographer who designed several puppet shows in Mini Teater Ljubljana, including Fran Milčinski - Ježek's The Little Sleepy Star, Svetlana Makarovič's The Mishmash Bakery, and the Brothers Grimm's The Wishing-Table.On display are 83 puppets, 24 stage elements and objects, and three stages.
