Maria Bonomi exhibition extended until 5 November
The 32nd Biennial of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana: Birth as Criterion, part of which is also the overview exhibition "Printmaking Forever" by the internationally renowned Brazilian artist Maria Bonomi, has been extended until 5 November 2017.
Maria Bonomi considers printmaking as a means of expression, a work where paper is no longer the physical limit of the medium but in service of infinite experimentation. She skilfully juxtaposes daring abstract images in strong colours with fine thin rice paper, through which colours shine and create transparent coloured veils. With her modus operandi, with her "graphic philosophy" as Maria Bonomi calls her creative process, texts and public appearances, Maria is the most eloquent advocate of the creative power of contemporary printmaking.
