Exhibitions

The Biennial’s central exhibition "The Matrix: An Unstable Reality" offers a selection of more than eighty internationally established and emerging artists. Their work extends from traditional and contemporary printmaking to artist’s books and interventions in the public space, in the mass media, and on computers.

Exhibition of the best works by students from 1st and 2nd year of the Academy of Visual Arts in Ljubljana (Fine Arts and Conceptualization of Space programs), at the end of the academic year.

Roger Ballen’s mid-career retrospective 1982-2004 of 120 works takes you on a surreal journey where the abundance of textures and his specific attention to photographic detail coupled with the richness of light and the imaginary-like scenes combine to create an experience unrivalled in its stark reality.  

Unlike architecture, the furnishings and equipment used in everyday life can be gathered together in one place to make an exhibition.
