#The Architect of Light" is the first retrospective exhibition of the architectural photography of Damjan Gale. An architect by profession, between 1974 and 1993 Gale created a striking photographic oeuvre. If Janez Kališnik is the pioneer of architectural photography in Slovenia, then Damjan Gale may be considered the first photographer to have encouraged theoretical reflections on architectural photography as a distinct genre, thereby leaving an indelible impression.

The "Tree" project and exhibition are the result of a collaboration between the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana and five Slovenian academies and universities educating future photographers. It is a creative response to the conceptual triggers that have inspired Ljubljana through its European Green Capital title as well as the "Genesis" exhibition of photographs by the globally renowned Sebastião Salgado.

The exhibition "Memory of Earth" presents the highlights of his oeuvre in various art mediums and is accompanied by a publication that illuminates all of the artist's phases and cycles.

The exhibition "ALUO LXX. Past, Present, Future" is dedicated to the anniversary of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Ljubljana, at the time known as the Academy of Representational Art, introducing its regular academic programmes. It was seventy years ago, on 14 January 1946, that lessons were initiated by the subsequent chancellor Božidar Jakac and six full professors who had set the fundamental guidelines of the art education process.

As one of the main, now traditional, venues of the Biennial of Graphic Arts, the Jakopič Gallery is also taking part in the 31st edition of the biennial in 2015. Titled "Over you/you", the biennial takes its starting point from a thought hastily scribbled in a corner of one of Martin Kippenberger’s drawings, and is combining traditional and not so traditional forms of graphic art production, presenting them as sites where political and aesthetic operations find a common ground.

A strong personal touch, classical understanding of art and a master's sense of complex sculpting materials are intrinsic to the work of Stojan Batič, a sculptor of the first post-WW2 generation of the 20th century whose retrospect entitled "The Man and the Myth" is on display in the Jakopič Gallery.

Muzeum Theatre was established in April 1994, its aim having been to explore five separate spheres of art and the relations between them: visual arts, architecture (space – time), drama (history), music (sound), movement (gesture). Forty-four events were produced in the period 1994–2014, the structures of which were exploring the relations and borders between individual spheres of arts and humanities.

In the year 2014 Jakopič Gallery is one of the exhibition venues of 24th Biennial of Design BIO 50, which marks 50 years of the oldest international design event in Europe. Jakopič Gallery returns as one of the main locations of the event with a long tradition, since it was, in the 50-year history, often its central venue.

The Jakopič Gallery is the main exhibition venue of the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) and the EarZoom sonic arts festival 2012. It is featuring a selection of works by different artists and includes spatial sound installations and interactive pieces, which deal with the perception of sound and space as well as with the perception of time during sonic reception.

The presentation of 59 black-and-white large-size photographs follows a gallery arrangement which moves away from a chronological and, to a large extent, contextual arrangement, whilst at the same time mainly emphasising the aesthetic author-oriented aspect of these outstanding portrait, concert and documentary photographs taken in the two decades preceding the turn of the millennium.
