Celina Lunsford, Artistic Director of Fotografie Forum Frankfurt and curator of the exhibition, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 February 2025 at Jakopič Gallery. The exhibition will be inaugurated at 7 p.m. by Mateja Demšič, MA, Head of Culture Department, City of Ljubljana.

On Tuesday, 11 March 2025, at 6 p.m., we invite you to the Jakopič Gallery for an online conversation with the contemporary Ethiopian artist Aïda Muluneh, whose photographs are presented in the exhibition On the Edge of Past Future. Her works invite us to explore the complexities of Africa beyond the clichés often presented in the media, encouraging a deeper understanding of its challenges and resilience. You are invited to get to know her better!

This year's Photo Aperitivo will be dedicated to the culture and flavours of the country where photographer Aïda Muluneh is from. Through the literature of contemporary Ethiopian authors translated into Slovenian interpreted by the actor and musician Joseph Nzobandora - Jose and accompanied by the music of percussionist Damir Mazrek we will discover Aïda's native Ethiopia and other African countries. The event will be rounded by the tasting of a traditional Ethiopian snack and the aroma of coffee, which originates from this very country.
