In the context of the exhibition Cheerful end game of Marko Brecelj we prepared a full-day screening of films about the artist in the conference hall of the City Museum of Ljubljana. At 17.00 in the Match Gallery we also invite you on a guided tour with the exhibition curators Vasja Cenčič and Jani Pirnat and a special guest, Arijana Markučič Brecelj.

Match Gallery joins Ljubljana Art Weekend, a three-day initiative connecting the most important contemporary art venues in the city.

In collaboration with the renowned italian art critic and independent curator Antonio Grulli we will present a group exhibition of the younger generation of contemporary artists and the new schools of Italian painting.

The sixth exhibition in the series Ljubljana bows to Slovenia presents the peculiarities of the Pomurje artistic movement. The Pomurje exhibition offers a glimpse into contemporary artistic production of the last six years without any limitations regarding motive, medium or style. On Tuesday, 25 October, at 17:00, the curator Jani Pirnat will tell you more about his selection, and will be joined by the artists.

What happens when the local hegemonic idea of an authentic Tuscan landscape clashes with the land cultivation practices of migrants from South-East China? This local phenomenon has been carefully examine by the Italian artist Leone Contini in his exhibition project Constructed Landscapes. You are invited to the opening on Tuesday 29 November at 19:00.
