Lighting Guerrilla: Memories

The Lighting Guerrilla international festival is dedicated to the presentation of artistic creations whose main medium of expression is the medium of light. The mission of the festival emphasizes the city as a living formation, as a space of creativity that encourages the imagination and dictates a different, dynamic rhythm of life.
Veli & Amos: Space is a Canvas – Diptych

With their exhibition "Space is a Canvas – Diptych", the Slovenian-Swiss art duo Veli & Amos are trying to integrate their differing artistic practices and media into an image perceived in two dimensions, using a spatial installation to that effect.

The first exhibition from the cycle "Ljubljana Bows to Slovenia", with which we are trying to surpass the centre – periphery divisions, presents female artists from Celje and the specifics of the art environment in this Slovenian city.

Retorika: The Moment After

Retorika is a multi-year modular project exploring the field of language and communication. It enters the field through research, consideration as well as artistic articulation of a certain skill that was referred to as “the art of persuasion” by Aristotle.
Jože Suhadolnik: Photo Stories 35

In his 35-year-long career as a photojournalist, Jože Suhadolnik collaborated with the Mladina weekly, the Dnevnik daily, the former Razgledi magazine, and with global press agencies Reuters, Associated Press and European Pressphoto Agency. Today he works at the Delo daily, where until recently he served as photography editor. Throughout his career he visited numerous hot spots around the globe.

The Lighting Guerrilla international festival, that celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, is dedicated to contemporary visual arts whose main medium of expression is light. In the year when Ljubljana boasts the title of Green Capital of Europe, we’ve chosen the topic of Nature to be the main theme of this year’s edition.

Within the context of DIVA Station, an archive of video and new media art, SCCA-Ljubljana is continuously preparing exhibitions with specific themes involving in-depth research. In 2016, the current exhibition questions the meaning of space in chosen video works.

While the Art Directors Club has already closed the call for entries for ADC 94th Annual Awards creative solutions in the fields of advertising, corporate design, graphic design, animation, photography, illustration and interactive design, the 93rd ADC, showcasing last year’s winners of gold and silver awards, is now visiting Ljubljana’s Match Gallery for the fifth consecutive time.
AVA 007: Degree Show

The Academy of Visual Arts in Ljubljana (AVA) is presenting itself with the exhibition of works of the already fifth generation of its graduating students. Graduating from their two degree programs, Conceptualization of Space and Fine Arts, these are the students who have successfully finished their studies in the 2014/15 academic year.

Lighting Guerrilla festival, this year in its ninth edition, once again in a special way attempts to present artistic creations that make heavy use of the medium of light. This year we're presenting works by artists from Slovenia and abroad who’s starting points revolve around the theme of this year's festival, which is In the Dark.
Memories and dreams of Kristina B., Ljubljana 1941−1945

The exhibition "Memories and Dreams of Kristina B. Ljubljana 1941−1945" coincides with the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, to be celebrated in 2015. It uses the transmission of the comic book medium for a museum exhibition.
Boštjan Pucelj: Sketches from America

Boštjan Pucelj, an established photographer from the younger generation, presents his work with a series of photographs taken from his journey on the traces of Route 66. His path was partially also a homage to Božidar Jakac who travelled the USA in the years 1929–31.
Animated Films from Germany

The exhibition is a report on current movements in the German art animation film, showing a selection of animated films, dolls, graphics and posters.
//////////fur////: no pain no game

As part of the Play Instinct! project, prepared by the Goethe-Institut Ljubljana, the Match Gallery and MoTA Point are hosting the exhibition "no pain no game" by the German artistic duo known as //////////fur////.
Lighting Guerrilla: Bright Future

Lighting Guerrilla is one of the most successful projects made by Forum Ljubljana. Over the years it has become a traditional festival, presenting its works in the Match Gallery, its surroundings and other locations in Ljubljana. The leading theme of this years festival is bright future.
