Artist residency centre

Artists in residency at the Tobačna 001 Cultural Centre are offered an apartment and a studio where they can bring their ideas to life. The artists are given time for reflection, exploration, production, and presentation of their works in the form of an exhibition. The residency programme is independent and flexible. Some artists integrate into the local scene by giving lectures, presentations and workshops, while others use this time to contemplate their own creative practice within a different cultural environment. The purpose of the residency centre is to facilitate the implementation of authorial projects, presentation of artists and their work, as well as to forge international connections and encourage contacts with local artists, which is reflected in the transmission of knowledge or ideas and the promotion of contemporary art production.
